Frome Fatstock Show was held Wednesday 3rd December 2008 at Frome Market, Standerwick, Frome. The show was well supported with classes for Handled and Unhandled Cattle, Lambs, Pigs and Calves.

Cattle where judged by Mr Steven Potter who awarded the Supreme Championship to a Charolais x Heifer shown by Messrs S & R Stamp, Highbridge selling at £3/kg, they also took the Reserve Supreme Championship with their Limousin x Steer selling at 295p/kg. Champion in the Unhandled Cattle section was won by Karina Heritage, Frome with her Blonde x Steer. Lambs judged by Mr Mark Miller who awarded the Champion to Messrs S & R Stamp with their pen selling at £120/head . Champion Pigs, judged by Mr Alan Hector, were shown by S J Tucker, Beckington. Calf Judge Richard Weeden awarded the Championship for this section to a Belgian Blue Heifer shown by DR & BA Boyte and selling at £219. A donation of £1,000 from the Frome Fatstock Society was also made to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
