DESCRIPTION Hidden away on a leafy lane in the heart of the thriving village of Shipham, is this warm and welcoming, contemporary, open-plan, four-bedroom family home. The front of the property gives little away as to the feeling of space inside and of the satisfying circular flow of the living area. On sunny days, with the conservatory doors open at the front, and the bifold doors opening out into the back garden, it is truly a lovely place to spend time. If you're looking to be involved in a vibrant community then Shipham has a diverse community with a multitude of activities for young and old; or if you're just looking for a tranquil rural retreat with country walks from the doorstep then Tarkwa could be the home for you.
The house has been decorated to create a modern, light and bright home with accommodation of over 2,000 sq. ft, perfectly balanced in reception space to bedroom space and complemented by private, level gardens. Entering the property, you are welcomed into a sizeable entrance hall which houses a handy store cupboard and doors to most of the ground floor rooms. The open plan kitchen also incorporates a breakfast area and dining room which extends into the conservatory. The focal point is a dual aspect log burner with beam lintel, a wonderful addition connecting the sitting room to the breakfast/family area. The conservatory is double glazed throughout with heating and lighting, and opens onto the front lawn. The spacious living room draws you out into the back garden with bi fold doors which connect the internal space to the decked rear terrace... fantastic for entertaining. Adjacent to the sitting room is a playroom which overlooks the garden, and this could be used as a downstairs study or alternatively as bedroom five. Finally, downstairs, there is a useful utility and cloakroom, and there is direct access into the garage.
Upstairs, there are four well-proportioned bedrooms. The master bedroom looks out over the rear garden and benefits from plenty of integral storage and an en-suite bathroom which is fitted with a frosted side aspect window, panelled bath, his and her sinks, low level storage, corner shower cubicle and a WC. The second bedroom is similar in size to the master but looks out over the front of the property, and is also fitted with ample storage. This bedroom and the two further bedrooms share a family bathroom which is fitted with a panelled bath, low level WC and pedestal sink, and there is a separate shower room. From the landing there is access into the two lofts which are both boarded and have power.
OUTSIDE Outside, the property is set up and back from the lane in attractive front and rear landscaped gardens offering a selection of well stocked fruit trees and mature borders. There is substantial off street parking on a brick paved drive which opens into a sizeable turning circle leading to a 20' integral garage.
