Antiques and Collectables Sales success in May 2021 hero
The second Sale Rooms auction on 26th and 27th May was a huge success. This time hosted in the Frome Cheese Show Ground, the site was full with one of the largest range of lots ever hosted by the team.

A number of items generated fierce bidding online with a number of items going for significantly higher than expected.

A collection of OBE military medals given to Air Commodore Frederick Edward Vernon, CB, OBE, MA, DLC, DIC had fierce bidding online and on the phone from Germany, the hammer went down at £1,700. A Victorian porcelain toilet “ The Corinth No 1” which came in from one of our valuation days in Bridgwater, exceeded all expectations and fetched a whopping £1,200 from an estimate of £50 to £80. We hope that the new Canadian owners will be very comfortable on it! Staples Ladderax also had a flurry of bids with the winning telephone bidder snapping it up at £900 and a pair of mid century floor lamps with a guide of £40 to £60 stormed ahead of it’s estimate with the hammer coming down at £340.

Congratulations to all successful bidders, we hope you love your new items.

Our Sale Rooms returns on 23rd and 24th June back in Standerwick with a large range of jewellery available for bidding (which will again be hosted online but be open for in person viewing the two days prior). This auction is currently full so any new items for inclusion will be entered into the July auction.
