Budget 2024: What it Means for Your Farm – Seminar Success

Budget 2024: What it Means for Your Farm – Seminar Success hero

Earlier in the month we held two seminars, and both proved to be a huge success; with a full house on consecutive nights as over 300 farmers gathered to understand the impact of the latest agricultural policy changes following last year’s Autumn Budget.

Held at the Market Restaurant at Frome Market, the sellout events provided essential insights into the future of farming, sustainability and securing family farm legacies.

The evenings were chaired by Cooper and Tanner Director George Trippick, who set the stage for an informative session. Presentations followed from a panel of industry experts:

  • Mike Butler, Partner, PKF-Francis Clark, covered the financial implications of the budget and key tax considerations.
  • Tim Hector, Director, Rural & Professional, Cooper and Tanner, addressed land management and strategic planning for the future.
  • Frank Collins, Partner & Head of Agriculture, Mogers Drewett, provided guidance on legal aspects affecting farm businesses.
  • Stephen Dennis, Regional Director, The Farming Community Network, spoke about the challenges farmers face and the support available.

Following the presentations and Q&A, attendees enjoyed a hot meal provided by the Market Restaurant, which created the perfect setting for further discussions, networking and one-on-one questions with the panel.

With such strong interest and engagement, we remain committed to supporting farmers through ongoing advice and future events. For more information or to stay informed about upcoming seminars, contact our Rural Team on 01373 831010.
