Outstanding Quality Machinery
Tuesday 27th September saw Cooper and Tanner Auctioneers conduct the complete dispersal of arable farm machinery for the estate of the late Neil Hosier t/a Hosier Bros, situated at Waglands Farm, Brunton, Marlborough. The sale was held in conjunction with Carter Jonas who have been long term land agents for the family. The quality of the machinery on offer was quite outstanding which was reflected in the huge interest shown in the auction and was simultaneously online as well as live in the auction field. The very heavy showers which carried on throughout the day did not dampen the bidder’s appetite for this tremendously high-quality, well maintained modern machinery.
Thursday 6th October saw Cooper and Tanner Auctioneers conduct the complete retirement dispersal of modern arable farm machinery and associated spares for long time client Mr Andrew C Brown. The auction was held in conjunction with Carter Jonas auctioneers, at Hill Barn Farm, Bishops Cannings, Devizes and saw a very large crowd in attendance with many both away and local buyers, together with online bidders, as the sale was also on being run through the online platform i-bidder system, which ran simultaneously with the live auction in the sale field. The weather was bright and sunny, and the mood was relaxed and certainly a day for tea, coffee, burgers, and a time to chat and catch-up for all!
Senior Cooper and Tanner auctioneer Trevor Rowland commented “demand was excellent for this modern good quality machinery, and it was a pleasure to hold the sale on behalf of Andrew following many years as a valued client”. This sale offered yet another opportunity from the auctioneers to potential purchasers to acquire good genuine well maintained quality machinery and to be able to have and use it quickly, rather than having to accept the delayed waiting times for New. Although several machines stayed locally, others, went to Leicestershire, Cambridge and Carmarthenshire as bidders were extremely keen throughout the auction with excellent prices being paid.
